“BULGARIAN CONCRETE ELEMENTS” LTD., town of Svishtov is a manufacturer of pre-stressed reinforced concrete sleepers for normal railways 1435 mm, twin-block sleepers for subway, sleepers for crane tracks, prestressed centrifugal poles for electrification of the rail network, reinforced centrifugal poles for overhead lines low and medium voltage, components for industrial, road and other construction.
HISTORY
“BULGARIAN CONCRETE ELEMENTS” LTD.
is one of the renowned companies in the construction sector in Bulgaria. The company is the successor of a company with the same business activity whose construction began in 1959 and the first phase is essentially completed and put into operation in the beginning of 1961. Initially, the plant specialized in the production of reinforced concrete sleepers for normal railway lines, centrifugal and vibrated poles, reinforced concrete elements for the construction of farm buildings and irrigation facilities and others.
n connection with the development of this market, the factory introduced new production facilities. The nature of the new production is fully oriented towards the construction of large industrial enterprises. The plant is capable of producing the full range of necessary reinforced oncrete elements for construction of industrial buildings and facilities for the construction of highways and roads, etc.
There has been introduced new production of components for public and
individual construction, that find a good market in the country.
In early 1999, the plant put into operation production line of pre-stressed reinforced concrete sleepers CT-6, which meet the European requirements.
In the course of its work “BULGARIAN CONCRETE ELEMENTS” LTD. has supplied reinforced concrete products to a large number of customers and thus participated in the construction of many projects: construction, reconstruction and electrification of the national railway network, railway tunnels, construction of Sofia subway, construction and renewal of the national electricity grid, facilities of road construction, industrial buildings, incl.: Kozloduy NPP, Maritsa East TPP, SHC Slizova – Svishtov, Port Bourgas, Rousse and Lom, Varna Ferry Complex, facilities of Transstroy Varna and Burgas, Glavbolgarstroy AD and many others.
